Forum Theme updates

[Admin]

Currenly, Pyrozz and me will be working on our forum to make it into a pure TAIKO theme.

Something to look forward to:
- Menu bar, which looks like a taiko screen when the notes stream past, and
- All the big and small icons
- Post reply, New Topic
- And all those little stuffs around

And all icons, menu bar, tamashii bar ranks and such found around the forum etc, were all hand-drawn by Pyrozz himself!


And the only stuff I "hand-drawn" myself is the words on top of the forum.
Those "Taiko Dojo" words, unfortunately, are my ugly writings. Haha.
Speaking of which, I will also crop the taiko dojo main pic to a smaller size, showing just the blackboard and my ugly writings.


Meanwhile, do be patient with me as I need to urgently clear my work on hand before doing all these forum updates and changing the themes.

**What you see now on 8th Oct is just a testing, there will be further changes, so look forward to it~**

Since I've managed to complete my stuffs on hand, and as promised, I've stayed up and revamp our forum to some new looks as stated in my first post up there.
Now, I shall deliver the pure TAIKO theme for our forum to you~
This is what you guys been waiting for~


Explaination:
For the icons, originally: red don and red don with mouth open will be new post.
However, new post with don mouth opening seems kinda hard to detect though, so I've changed all the new post to kat form, so as to avoid confusion.
This makes everything so clear too.

As for the hot topics (popular ones), I've put it to the excited don face with mouth open, just like we hit certain combos and the don notes starts to get excited.
Though it looks kinda like angry to me?? haha..
And if there's any new post in the hot topics, the background of excited don face will be glowing in yellow color.
So this differentiate from the rest of the don and kat icons to show that it's hot topic.

=EDITED=
Some of you have suggested that it'll be better to have kat face instead of the glowing background to make it more consistant. So it's changed now.


To summarize:
Blue = New Post
Yellow = Announcement
Purple = Sticky

With this, we have to go without our original site description:
A place for Taiko no Tatsujin fanatics~ Be it arcade games, psp, NDS, ps2 or any platforms, just join in if you love this game~ Or if you like traditional Japan Taiko, or any other music games, do join in as well~ We won't bite~ =D

Apparently, this site icon only shows up in Firefox right now:


I'm trying to get it fixed for IE though. I see what I can do about it.

IE will usually save the icon. So if IE saw the webpage before it will use the old icon. So, you can clear the cache for IE and it should work.

IE 7 doesn't need the cache cleared, probably because it's new. But maybe older versions have the problem.

It appears to be some bug in IE as I search through the net: -
Note that your favicon may not appear immediately after you've completed the above two steps. In fact, it may take a few days, and in IE, sometimes the favicon will disappear from time to time due to a browser bug.

So let's just wait for a couple of days and see how it goes as in IE, it's still showing the old site icon.

perhaps forumotion is doing some updates or something.

dont forget we are not on our own derver space and domain.
