Hajimemashite! dewanakatta desu!

Post by dewanakatta on Thu Mar 05, 2009 4:50 am

Hello, this looks like an interesting place.

I'm dewanakatta, maybe some of you know me from Youtube, but maybe not.

I'm from Malaysia but studying in the US for now.

Oh, Taiko skills? "Resume" here...

- Taiko no Tatsujin 4 (top in Summit USJ, Malaysia)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 5 (top in 1 Utama, Bandar Utama, Malaysia)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 6 (played it once, but don't remember)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 7 (top 2 in Wangsa Maju, Jusco, Malaysia/top 3 in Mid Valley Megamall Jusco, Malaysia)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 8 (top 2 in Jusco, Equine Park, Malaysia)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 9 (top 2 in Mid Valley Megamall Jusco, KL, Malaysia/top 3 in North Pont Arcade, Hong Kong)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 10 (top 2 in Mid Valley Megamal Juscol, KL/top 10 in Tsim Sha Tsui Star House Arcade, Hong Kong)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 11 (top 3 in Wan Chai Gamezone, Hong Kong)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 11 Asian Version (top 5 in Tsim Sha Tsui Star House Arcade, Hong Kong)
- Taiko no Tatsujin 12 (top 10 in Tsim Sha Tsui Star House arcade, Hong Kong)

Yes, I've been playing Taiko for 2 years and I'm still crazy over it!

Hajimemashite, minna-san! I hope to come to Singapore during my summer break for some friendly Taiko rounds! DanceDance

lol cuz our population is smaller and has less selection of talents and etc. And also, arcades + taiko no tatsujin in hk/japan have a different portrayal than in SG >_<" people in SG dun really train or anything...

Well, we're just not as kiasu as them, lol.

I've seen people who spend all day in the arcade playing Taiko just to FC Rotter Tarmination. -_-;

BTW, Taiko's very big in Malaysia as well, come over some time and I'll preach the secrets of Taiko drumming to you all~

Come to Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. There's 2 Japanese Taiko machines there (9 and 10). By the time I go back, they should have 11/12 in there.

Taiko is a game that starts slowly. You can't expect a lot of ppl to play when it first comes, right?

Every time I go to Malaysia to visit relatives or for holidays (I usually hit KL, Ipoh, Genting or Penang and JB)

I see the arcades, I rarely see any new games. At most, racing game, and their usually Wangan Midnight or Initial D. I don't even see Jubeat or Taiko once, nor House of the Dead 4, Time Crisis 4 or such.

I see more consoles and retro arcade games like MVC, MVSH and etc down there and had to say, those people down there are more pro than us.

Well, updated Taiko machines are usually brought in by Jusco, and not any other arcades... ever since they got that looooong love letter from me back 3 years ago.

Do stop by play sometime, if you're lucky you'd get to see me.

The most thing i'm afraid of is the money that we need to spend to get there.

Cos' accommodation + travel fees + taiko fees + food doesn't come cheap if we're going for a 2 days 1 night trip. At least $200 i guess. o.O

The machine there is $0.50 SG Dollars per 2 songs. (I'm assuming the exchange rate is $1 ringgit = $0.50 SG dollars, it should be lower)

Food? No problem, very cheap. Not like you want to go and eat expensive sushi restaurant or things like that. Different story though if you wanna eat expensive stuff.

Accomodation? Now's that's a bit of a problem, lol. ^^; You can find other ppl to share a room with you in a hotel or I can accomodate 2 ppl in my room if you all dun mind la that is. >___> Save some cash there.

Dunno, I look forward to meeting new Oni player Taiko faces.

omg that's cheap, actually 1RM is a bit less than $0.50... O_O

lol malaysia food prices are probably lesser than or same as SG, i've been there quite a few times. As long as you dun eat expensive restaurants, like dewan says =p

lol i wanna meet taiko pro dewanakatta too ><
